Plymouth’s Ethan Stewart, 13, Shines on European Stage at MMA Championships
A talented young martial artist from Plymouth has made his mark on the international stage after representing England at the European Mixed Martial Arts Championships.
Ethan Stewart, aged 13, recently travelled to Serbia to compete in the European Championships organised by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF), where he faced some of the best young amateur MMA athletes from across Europe.
Competing in a strong field, Ethan finished an impressive fourth overall in his division, narrowly missing out on a medal.
For a young athlete from Plymouth, competing at this level is a significant achievement and reflects years of dedication and hard work in the sport.
Ethan trains locally across several martial arts disciplines as he continues to develop his mixed martial arts skills. His training includes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Centaur BJJ, Muay Thai at KMT, and Judo with Peninsula Judo.
Representing England internationally and finishing just outside the medals at the IMMAF European Championships marks a major milestone for the young Plymouth fighter and highlights the strength of emerging martial arts talent coming out of the city.
At just 13 years old, Ethan’s performance on the European stage is something the local sporting community can be proud of, and many will be watching with interest to see what the future holds for the promising Plymouth athlete.
