Police have confirmed that a man was arrested on suspicion of affray following Saturday morning’s major emergency response in St Budeaux.
Plymouth Post reported from Collin Close as a man was taken away from a residential property in handcuffs following an operation involving armed officers, police negotiators and other emergency services.
Devon and Cornwall Police has now confirmed that officers were called at around 6.30am amid concerns for the welfare of a man at an address in the street.
It had been reported that the man was possibly in possession of a weapon and was making threats.
A police cordon was established while emergency services, including armed officers, managed the situation.
Police said officers safely gained entry to the property and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of affray.
He has since been released on police bail while further enquiries continue.
The incident was resolved soon after 11am.
The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust said it was called at 7.05am and sent a double crewed ambulance, an operations officer and a hazardous area response team to the scene.
One patient was taken to Derriford Hospital.
