Emergency services are at St Budeaux Ferry Road railway station this evening following reports that a person has been struck by a train.
At least three ambulances, fire crews, police vehicles and emergency response units have been seen at the scene.
Great Western Railway has confirmed that a person has been struck by a train in the Plymouth area, causing all lines to be blocked. Trains in the affected area have been brought to a stop.
The condition of the person involved is not currently known.
Passengers are advised to check their journeys and expect significant disruption.
A GWR statement said: “A person has been struck by a train in the Plymouth area, leading to all lines being blocked. It is necessary to bring all trains in the affected area to an immediate stop.”
