A Plymouth community is coming together this Friday to support Seven year old Dude Sutton, a brave little boy living with a rare and life limiting condition.
Dude has 4H Leukodystrophy (POLR3B), a rare neurological condition which affects his movement, speech and everyday life. He faces challenges including tremors, slow processing, speech difficulties, mobility problems and disrupted sleep.
His mum, Kerry Sutton, previously told the Plymouth Post: “We were told he may not survive childhood. But we are not giving up.”
The family continues to focus on keeping Dude strong, happy and creating as many special memories as possible.
Now, Devonport Barbers is holding a special ‘Dude’s Day’ fundraiser on Friday, August 21, with money raised going into Dude’s Pot to help fund essential equipment, specialist therapy, care and experiences for him.
Every customer who books or receives a haircut on the day will automatically receive a raffle ticket for the chance to win a brand-new 10 inch Android tablet.
Walk ins are welcome throughout the day.
Dude’s story has already touched many people across Plymouth, and Friday’s event is another chance for the local community to show its support for him and his family.
