Green Light Nostalgia League, week 3

6 September 2026 at 10:30 am

Another close round in our Green Light Nostalgia League, and this time speed made the difference.

We asked two questions about the history of Plymouth Argyle’s Home Park.

Question 1: What year were the new seats installed at Home Park, replacing the standing areas?

The answer was 2007

Question 2: In what year was Plymouth Argyle’s first permanent Main Stand built at Home Park, replacing the original wooden stand?

The answer was 1920. The stand was later badly damaged during the Plymouth Blitz and was eventually replaced by the new Grandstand, which opened in 1952.

Carl Michael was quickest with the answers and takes the maximum three points.

Gary Searle was next and picks up two points, while Sheridan Davey takes one point.

Those two points are enough to put Gary Searle at the top of the Green Light Nostalgia League, despite finishing second in this round.

More questions coming soon, with the battle at the top beginning to get interesting.
