A man accused of murdering former government minister Ann Widdecombe is due to appear in court charged with preparing acts of terrorism, including alleged activity against Nigel Farage.
Joshua Kerry, 28, of Rotherham, South Yorkshire, is due before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, October 7.
Kerry has been charged with preparation of terrorist acts following an investigation by Counter Terrorism Policing.
The alleged activity is said to have taken place between May 31, 2024 and July 8, 2026 and includes alleged activity against Reform UK leader Nigel Farage.
Kerry is separately charged with the murder of Ann Widdecombe, 78, who was found dead at her home in Haytor on Dartmoor in July.
The former Conservative minister represented Maidstone and later Maidstone and The Weald in Parliament before subsequently joining Reform UK.

Councillor Steve Ricketts, leader of Reform UK on Plymouth City Council, said: “Much of the mainstream media refused to believe Nigel when he said that he had been a target of a serious attack. Now it is not only turning out to be true, but the attacker allegedly went on to murder one of Nigel’s political colleagues.
“Violence has absolutely no place in our politics. I hope that justice is served.”
