A 10 year old boy suffered serious injuries following a collision involving a modified electric bike on Wolseley Road in Plymouth.
Police said officers were called at around 4.40pm on Thursday 17 September following reports of a collision close to the junction with Saltash Road.
According to police, the collision involved the 10 year old pedestrian and a modified electric bike.
The boy was taken by ambulance to Derriford Hospital. Police have confirmed that his injuries are serious, but are not considered life threatening.
The rider of the electric bike and a pillion passenger were also taken to Derriford Hospital with minor injuries.
Police said a section of Wolseley Road was closed while officers carried out an investigation at the scene.
A 16 year old boy was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drug driving. Police said he has since been released under investigation.
Officers from the Roads Policing Team are now appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have relevant dashcam footage.
