
Former Plymouth Reform UK Deputy Leader Resigns From Party
Former Reform UK deputy leader on Plymouth City Council, Councillor Carol Ney, has resigned from the party and will now serve as an Independent councillor.

Cllr Ney confirmed to Plymouth Post that she resigned from Reform UK at around 8pm on Friday evening, bringing an end to her time with the party after previously stepping down as deputy leader for personal reasons.
Speaking exclusively to Plymouth Post, Cllr Ney said: “I’m not happy with the direction of the group.”
Despite leaving Reform UK, she said she remains committed to representing the residents of her ward as an Independent councillor.
When asked to elaborate on her concerns, Cllr Ney said any further questions regarding the group’s direction should be addressed to Reform UK group leader Steve Ricketts.
Responding to Plymouth Post, Cllr Steve Ricketts said: “I’d like to thank Carol for her contribution to Reform UK and wish her every success as she continues her work as an Independent councillor.
