Plymouth People | Princetown Fire Station Invites Bikers to Charity Bike Night on Dartmoor

18 August 2026

Motorcyclists from across Devon are being invited to Princetown Fire Station for a charity Bike Night later this summer in support of The Firefighters Charity.

The event takes place on Saturday 22 August from 6pm at the fire station and promises an enjoyable evening for riders, families and supporters alike.

Whether you’re arriving on a modern sports bike, a classic machine, a vintage BSA or simply coming along to admire the bikes and enjoy something from the barbecue, everyone is welcome.

Visitors can enjoy a hot BBQ, cold drinks, a friendly atmosphere and the chance to vote for the Bike of the Night, with all proceeds helping to support The Firefighters Charity, which provides lifelong care and support to members of the UK fire services community.

Nathan Green, one of the organisers from Princetown Fire Station and a keen motorcycle enthusiast, said: “I’ve always loved bikes, so bringing people together for an evening like this is something I’m really looking forward to. It doesn’t matter what you ride modern, classic or vintage it’s about enjoying the bikes, meeting other riders and raising money for The Firefighters Charity. I’m hoping to see a fantastic turnout.”

Fellow organiser Gary Hayse is also looking forward to welcoming visitors.

He said: “It’s going to be a great community evening. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to the station, firing up the barbecue, meeting lots of riders and supporters, and hopefully raising plenty of money for a charity that does so much for the fire service. We’d love to see as many people as possible come along.”

Set against the backdrop of Dartmoor, the event offers the perfect excuse for a summer ride while supporting a charity that helps firefighters and their families when they need it most.
