A man has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged serious assault in North Hill, Plymouth, police have confirmed.
Devon and Cornwall Police said Cameron Coyte, aged 26, of Amity Place in Plymouth, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife or bladed article in a public place.
Police said he has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court by video link on Thursday 17 September.
The charges follow an alleged incident at the junction of Amity Place and Deptford Place at around 7.20pm on Tuesday 15 September.
According to police, a Plymouth man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious injuries. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
