Green Light | Argyle Trio Keeps Spirits Up At Home Park

28 March 2026

The turnstiles might be closed today, but the Argyle spirit is very much alive and kicking. While we all might be missing our Saturday football fix due to the postponement, the mood inside the camp suggests the squad is as hungry as ever. If training on Friday morning at Harper’s Park was anything to go by, the bond within this group is at an all-time high.

As the squad emerged for their drills, three familiar faces stole the show—and the lens. In a moment of pure Green Army gold, Alex Mitchell and Ronan Curtis were spotted quite literally sandwiching the heart and soul of the squad, Joe Edwards.

The pair grabbed hold of the skipper, with Curtis making sure everyone knew who was in the middle by pointing out the captain with a grin. The trio looked more than happy to be caught up in the fun, proving that while the pressure of the season is mounting, the brotherhood in this locker room is unbreakable.

For the fans, seeing Joe Edwards—the man who has bled green through every high and low—looking this relaxed is the ultimate confidence booster. Seeing him caught up in the energy of Mitchell and Curtis shows a team that isn’t just prepared for battle; they are genuinely enjoying the ride together.

“You can’t fake that kind of chemistry,” said one onlooker. “When the senior lads are laughing and the captain is at the center of it, it trickles down to everyone. That is the Argyle spirit.”

With the “Three Musketeers” leading the charge, Argyle looks less like a team feeling the weight of the league and more like a group of mates ready to take on the world. We have to wait until Good Friday for the next whistle at Home Park, but if the lads play with half as much rhythm as they showed on Friday, the opposition doesn’t stand a chance.

Keep it Green, keep it loud, and keep those smiles coming.
