Residents escape safely after fire in Mannamead

Residents escaped safely after a fire broke out at a property in Hillsborough, Mannamead, this evening (Thursday)

Three fire appliances attended the incident, two from Greenbank and one from Crownhill. Crews brought the fire under control fairly quickly.

An eyewitness at the scene told Plymouth Post that the fire appeared to have started in the bathroom. This has not yet been officially confirmed.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were seen checking the property after the fire had been extinguished. No injuries have been reported.
