Traffic chaos is continuing on the A38 following a road traffic collision involving a car and a motorbike near Plymouth.
Images from the scene show long queues of traffic on the Devon Expressway as emergency services continue to deal with the incident between the B3416 Deep Lane junction and the A374 Plymouth Road at Marsh Mills roundabout.
The A38 was initially closed in both directions following the collision.
The carriageway from Marsh Mills towards Deep Lane has now reopened, although significant congestion remains across the area.
The opposite carriageway remains closed between Deep Lane and Marsh Mills.
The Devon Air Ambulance attended the incident and has now left the area.
Motorists are being advised to expect significant delays and avoid the area where possible.
The circumstances surrounding the collision and the extent of any injuries have not yet been confirmed.
