Emergency services responded to an incident on Plymouth Hoe this afternoon with an air ambulance critical care vehicle and two South Western Ambulance Service ambulances attending.
Police boats were also seen just offshore, with officers remaining on the water as the incident unfolded. The reason for their presence has not been confirmed, and it is unclear whether it was directly connected to the medical emergency or was being carried out as a precaution.
